The BFF SNAP Challenge
The SNAP Challenge
As a part of Time For Change week, Best Food Forward is hosting a SNAP Challenge, where you're challenged to live on $5 worth of food per day (or $25.00 spread across 5 days).
The challenge will take place from March 26 to March 30, and will end with a community potluck dinner on April 2, where we'll all share our SNAP Challenge experiences and hear from food security experts in a panel.
To help facilitate the SNAP Challenge, we'll be hosting a bulk buy prior to the challenge on March 24 to help you maximize your fresh fruit and vegetable consumption. Sign up for this bulk buy here: https://www.bestfoodforward.org/shop/.
We'll be sharing bulk recipes and snack ideas that incorporate the foods we provide in the bulk buy to help you get through the challenge on our Recipes page.
Whether or not you participate for all 5 days, we encourage you to be mindful and read up on how SNAP has hit the news lately and what that means for families who rely on these services as well as joining us on April 2nd in the Blackburn Victory Room at 6 PM for a dinner and discussion.
