Apple and Cabbage Slaw

It’s rare that fruit and vegetables are put in the same recipes, but this slaw gives you the best of both worlds by throwing in apples. This high fiber dish is perfect to enjoy as a side or main entreé or even on a sandwich.

Serves 4


  • 3 cups of cabbage (red or green)

  • 1 - 1 1/2 medium apples

  • 1 cup of shredded carrots

  • 3 green onions

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tbsp of lemon juice

  • Salt and Papper to taste


  1. Shred cabbage, carrots, and apples using a grater or finely chop these ingredients

  2. Finely chop green onions and add to bowl with cabbage, carrots, and apples

  3. In a separate bowl combine honey, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice

  4. Pour sauce over other ingredients and stir to throughly combine

  5. Add salt and pepper to taste and enjoy!
