Cauliflower Pizza Crust
Cauliflower Pizza Crust is an fun way to make pizza more plant-based. Cauliflower is very low in saturated fat and cholesterol and is a good source of plant protein as well as various nutrients so it is a lower calorie option that is nutrient dense. Enjoy with your favorite toppings!
1 cauliflower head, stalk removed
½ cup shredded mozzarella
¼ cup grated Parmesan
½ teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
2 eggs, lightly beaten
Preheat the oven to 400℉. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Break the cauliflower into florets and pulse in a food processor until fine.
Steam cauliflower in a steaming basket and drain well. You can put it on a towel to make sure you get all the moisture out. Let cool.
In a bowl, combine the cauliflower with the mozzarella, Parmesan, oregano, salt, garlic powder and eggs. Transfer to the center of the baking sheet and spread into a circle. You can use a spatula to help spread the crust. Bake for 20 minutes.
Add pizza toppings and bake for another 10 minutes.
